What We Believe

We believe:

That the Bible is the infallible and inerrant word of God, given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is the complete and sufficient revelation of God to man, so that he may have knowledge of God unto salvation, and the only rule of faith and practice.

That the God of the Bible is the only true and living God. This God exists in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, the same in substance, and equal is power and glory.

That Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God, fully God and fully man, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died a substitutionary and atoning death for sinners, was raised from the dead, bodily, and ascended to the right hand of the Father. From there he presently rules over and intercedes for His body, the Church, and will return, visibly and bodily, in power and glory.

That the first man and woman were created to be in perfect, loving fellowship with God, but lost this fellowship by disobeying God. This sin caused every man and woman to be born a sinner, both in nature and actions.

That the gospel we proclaim is that Jesus Christ lived a perfectly righteous life and died a substitutionary, atoning death in the place of sinners who put their faith in Him, earning for them perfect forgiveness of their sin and perfect righteousness before God.

That Jesus Christ is the only Savior for sinners, and that God has commanded His church to take this good news into all the world that persons from every nation may hear and believe in Jesus Christ as He is offered in the gospel.

That the Holy Spirit of God, also being fully God, is the agent of regeneration, and that His power is at work in every regenerated believer in Jesus Christ. All ability and power to live a life pleasing to God comes from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

That every person who has ever lived will one day stand before God for judgment; those who have rejected Jesus Christ will go to eternal punishment; those who have trusted in Jesus Christ as he is offered in the gospel will go to eternal blessedness with God.
