Life and ministry experience / Present ministry: Started a prayer ministry at age seventeen, and became the leader of a high school Christian fellowship.  Was arrested and put in prison for his faith for six months during the Communist regime.  Went to Meki Technical School, graduated, and started teaching in the same school.  Worked as a part-time church planter, then as a full-time evangelist in the same church.  Served for four years as the regional coordinator for fourteen churches, then came to Awassa as a pastor for three years.  Moved to Addis to the mission department head of the Meserete Kristos church for seven years.  Most recently, he has moved back to Awassa to continue pastoring a local church.

Vision for the future: Wants to continue pastoring—preaching the Gospel and equipping believers as disciples.

Prayer requests:

  • That God would expand his vision and ministry
  • That God would facilitate expenses so that his family can be together again (half of them are living in another city because of financial problems)
